WHAT:
Banjo Billy's Bus Tour gives a 90 minute history tour of Boulder Colorado from an old school bus tricked out to look like a traveling hillbilly shack. Hear ghost tales, crime stories, and history while sitting on a couch, recliner or saddle as the bus rolls through the core of the city. You won't forget this bus tour!
Although the bus follows the same route every time, no two tours are alike. Passengers get to vote at multiple stops for what they want to hear about - whether it's a ghost story, a bizarre tall tale, or historical facts. Here are just a few of the things that we cover:
* A bizarre tale of a haunted hotel complete with three suicides but just one note.
* How bootleggers fired the entire police force and left one cop dead.
* Tattoos, Adidas and peace pipes may be common in Boulder, but did you know they've been in here for 7,500 years?
* The Spider People.
* How the ghost of an obsessive boy scout takes revenge on a girl scouts' exhibit
* The first meeting of Chief Niwot and Capt. Thomas Aikens
* The flamboyant owner of Boulder's most expensive home dies a popper, in 1901
* 10 year old Walter dies in the mountain mines in 1896 and has been here ever since
* Boulder History Museum, The Plaza Hotel and three pampered dogs all in one story
* The Mystery at Macky Auditorium
